Hana-otoko, in his thirties, leaves his family to pursue his dream of being a professional baseball player. His son, Shigeo, is very studious and does not understand his father's hope. During summer vacation, Shigeo is sent to visit his father and finds their lifestyles are completely different. Through living together with his father, Shigeo learns something more important than being a good student.
